The photo in the header of this page is of Marsha P. Johnson, aka the Mayor of Christopher Street. The “P” stood for “Pay It No Mind”. Marsha was instrumental in the Stonewall uprising in 1969. To learn more about this amazing activist, visit the Marsha P. Johnson Institute’s website.
