I grew up in a very small Southern Vermont town. As a teen, I knew that I was gay but didn’t know of any peers in the queer community. I spent several years not accepting myself. At 19, I moved to downtown Keene and began to learn to love who I am. At 23, I met my now spouse and fellow board member, Paulee. We lived in the Keene area for a few years, but now reside with our two dogs in Brattleboro. I began Brown Computer Solutions as a teenager 24 years ago and currently have stores in both Keene and Brattleboro. I served on the board of the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont for 6 years first as Vice Chair and later as Board Chair. I am excited to serve on the Keene Pride board as I feel that something like this could have had a tremendous positive effect on my life had it been available to me as a teen. I am thrilled to bring my experience to the board and be a part of the very first annual Keene Pride event.
